Odometer readings and dates
When submitting a transaction, please remember to double-check odometer readings and dates before finalizing the transaction. If an error is found during audit that results in the odometer being reduced from what was entered in the initial transaction, upon resubmission the state’s system will see the new odometer as a discrepancy and will create a hard stop. If the odometer needs to be lowered after the initial submission, you must cancel and resubmit the transaction.
Odometer field in error due to a missing or invalid value
When submitting, if you see the error, Error(s) from the state: Odometer field in error due to a missing or invalid value, check the NMVTIS report and compare it to the odometer reading field. You are likely receiving the error because the last mileage reported to NMVTIS was higher than the odometer value that was entered. The mileage entered must be equal to or higher than the last reported odometer reading.
48-hour correction completion
Once you submit a correction for a transaction, please allow two business days before posting any additional comments. Auditors have two business days to work that transaction from when the correction was uploaded. However, if you add a comment a day after the correction, the system will start that clock over. Instead, if you have questions or concerns please reach out to Support at ntxsupport@vitu.com for assistance and updates.
E-signed vs wet signatures on Odometers
According to Montana regulations, we can accept conforming odometers signed electronically ONLY if the odometer reading is electronic (typed) as well. If the odometer is hand written, the signature for the odometer must be a wet signature.

Taking a day off, 24 little hours, is a real refresher! Go to a hotel an hour or two away and just relax! Order room service, if they offer it. Or go out to eat somewhere that you always wanted to try but never have. Somewhere close to home and work, but far enough away that you feel some peace. If you have little ones, this is the time where they can build a blanket fort! It really isn't that hard to do. And, you only use up one vacation day! Read a book! Relax and unwind. Sleep. Explore.
Spring is a time of growth and renewal. Growth is good. Growth can also be hard. We often say we are buried. Seeds are buried. They fight to the surface and grow, just like you do. You have all grown so much! Plant some seeds of kindness.
