The Illinois Secretary of State (SOS) has made changes to their website.
Now, when you start an application through Illinois SOS, you must enter your Email address to receive a code to proceed.

Then enter the code you receive into the EmailAuthCode field.

This update is to ensure that if something were to happen with the application, the state knows who to refer to and contact.

Fill Out Documents
Because we aim to submit all of our partner's paperwork to the state promptly to avoid penalty fees, it’s important to fill out title assignments and the required portion of the Power of Attorney (POA).

Signatures on Documents
While the state is a little more flexible with accepting copies of a signed title application, they will not accept E-Signatures or Docu-Sign on the following documents:
- Title applications
- Odometer statements
- POAs
- Titles
An actual/wet signature must be submitted for processing.

Our auditors do their best to try to push out all the applications received in the office to the state the same day to prevent delays and penalties. Sometimes, however, our team must send back an application in cases like these:
- The application has mileage/VIN discrepancies throughout the paperwork, so the state would not issue a title branded as NOT ACTUAL MILEAGE or a title issued to the wrong VIN.
- The title is needed in the dealership’s name prior to reassigning to the current buyer(s) Illinois dealers cannot assign a buyer on Dealer Reassignment form also known as a title rider. The title must be in the dealership’s name first.
- The incorrect Secure Power of Attorney or any documentation that may have been attached to the transaction was not pertaining to that vehicle/sale.

Registration renewals can still be done without the required inventory since renewals update in real time. If a customer needs to renew their plate for 2027 and your location has yet to receive those certificates, the renewal can still be processed. This will not affect your location's current inventory nor prohibit the customer from getting an updated registration card. If you see "Transaction Sent Successfully" after selecting Confirm and Send to SOS, your renewal has been processed even without printing a reg card.

If you need to print out a reg card from a renewal that was performed in Vitu at any given point in time, it will be found in the Transactions Log by searching by the plate number then selecting Print Reg Card.

Note: Renewals are not reversible in our system. Please contact SOS for this to be done.

Welcome back Warriors! This is the continuation of our series all about YOU.
The month of appreciation
November is a time of gatherings, reflection, and transition from Autumn to Winter.
It is a month where warm, golden hues, along with browns and oranges take center stage in our workspaces as well as our homes — filled with smells of cinnamon, apples, pumpkin pie, and some serious comfort food!
Celebrations of food, family, and friendship start to fill up our thoughts and our calendars. Just saying the word, "November," stirs up memories of Novembers past. It is a time of reflection. A time of gratitude. A time of thanksgiving. It reminds us of who was with us in the past during this special month, as well as those who are no longer with us. It reminds us all that we are all truly blessed beyond measure, to keep a grateful heart and a thankful heart.
November is the month with a definite attitude of gratitude. As we start thinking about our plans for this month, the food, the family, the friends, we also think about people who are alone, people who don't have what we may have. And we give. We help out at local food banks, we serve others, we share with our neighbors. We also smile a little bit more, and we are a little nicer to each other. It is a magical time of year.
It is also a time of work. We Warriors work a little harder, trying to make sure that our desks are all caught up so that we can enjoy Thanksgiving with our families and friends. We also start to get a little stressed out, so remember to take some time to center yourself each day. Give yourself the gift of some "alone time" so that you can relax, pray, meditate, or just listen to nature during a nice walk in the mild fall morning or evening.
This month’s treat for YOU
November is a time to nourish both your body and your mind. We've talked about nourishing your mind, now let's talk about nourishing your body!
I have a recipe for a super easy, delicious, guilt-free, sugar-free pumpkin pie that I would like to share with all of YOU!
This recipe is by Chris Cooking Nashville, an incredible chef that cares about good healthy options for some of our favorite comfort foods. He is AMAZING! I asked Chris for permission to share this video and recipe with all of YOU, and he graciously agreed. Check it out using the link here! I personally will be making this pie this year, and I hope that YOU will LOVE it as much as I do!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Warriors! I'll be back next month as we continue to celebrate this Year of YOU! ♥️🥧
