An update to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was announced on January 15, 2025, increasing the maximum documentary fee from $477 to $490, if dealers perform on-line registrations with an online provider such as Vitu, and from $398 to $409 for processing titlework manually. The increase is effective immediately.

Effective February 1, 2026 PennDOT implemented MVDLS. All Online Messengers now must process their vehicle registration transactions through their Integrators system.
