When your dealership receives new inventory, it is important to verify receipt as soon as possible. Use the helpful list below to make receiving inventory fast and easy:
Physically validate the inventory within 24 hours
- Locate the packing slip and make sure it belongs to your dealership.
- Verify shipment details.
- Review shipment details for accuracy (are these the plate types ordered?).
- Verify contents match what is printed on the packing slip and that plates are in sequential order.
- Sign, scan, and email the packing slip back to the DMV Marker Room DMV.MarkerRoom@CT.gov
- Immediately secure your inventory in a locked location.
Note: This step is critical — after inventory is accepted it becomes your responsibility as a program participant. Any discrepancies need to be promptly reported to the DMV Marker Room by calling 860-263-5433.
- If you encounter any errors while receiving or confirming inventory in the software, please reach out to your Vitu Client Services team for assistance at cs-connecticut@vitu.com or call 800-211-3645.
- Once your inventory is successfully entered into the system, it must be locked in a secure location.
