You have probably seen error notifications that mention STOPs — these messages may limit the two to three-month registration period allowed or prohibit the transaction process from moving forward altogether. If you see an error notification, it may also mean that your customer owes personal property taxes to either their county or city.
We advise you to inform your customer that they should check all bases, both with the DMV and their county office, for any STOPs that may prevent their registration from being processed. However, you are still able to issue Temp Tags to the customer while they resolve their STOP.

When adding a customer or changing an address, always begin by entering the ZIP code. Then, select the corresponding city from the drop-down menu. It’s crucial to ensure that the city and ZIP code match — only then is the street address field available.
