Joining in 2022, Brittany Alvarado moved up from Account Manager to become General Manager (GM) shortly after Vitu acquired the Dealertrack Registration & Titling Businesses earlier this year (more info, here.) She’s responsible for managing several aspects of the Georgia operations and is the subject matter expert for all things Georgia title and reg. Her favorite role is helping dealers to be successful. “As a trainer, I love the moment when the lightbulb clicks,” she shared.

Brittany started in the automotive industry as a credit analyst at Hyundai Capital, followed by Toyota Financial. “I learned a lot working with finance managers about the loan aspect of the car buying process and all the work that goes into the dealership making money,” she said. At Dealertrack, she learned a whole new aspect of the dealership, finding that “helping dealers learn the Reg and Title side is much more rewarding than approving credit or saying ‘no’ to tier bumps,” she admitted. 

This year’s acquisition has been a journey for Brittany — for every scary “what if” there has been a rewarding revelation. “I’ve never been a part of an acquisition before," she shared, “and with every new experience you can learn a lot if you stop and look around.” “I am so excited for the changes that Vitu is bringing and the opportunity given to me to take the GM role,” she said. 

Brittany is motivated to be a good example for her beautiful 10-year-old daughter, wanting her to see Mom succeed and thrive in her career. “I spend a lot of my time getting her to swim practice,” she mused, “and we love going to every festival we can attend each season.” Brittany also coaches basketball for her city community team and has been active in PTA leadership as VP, secretary and treasurer at her daughter’s school. In the little free time she has, she loves to read. “And we try to make it to Disney World as much as possible, too!” she said. So not surprisingly, her favorite quote is from Yoda — “Do or do not, there is no try.” To Brittany, this means, “no excuses — we get things done.” She strives to be reliable in both her work and personal life because the “do not” is not an option.

Did you know that even though the Temp Tag that you give a customer is good for 45 days, transactions that are pending for longer than 30 days will incur a late fee from the state. There is a dealer Title Ad Valorem Tax penalty for not submitting TAVT within 30 days of vehicle purchase. After 30 days, an additional 5% of TAVT value is added to the total tax amount due. Then, an additional 5% tax is assessed every month thereafter. Please be sure to get your pended transactions finalized and your documents over to the state to avoid these late penalty fees.
