And that cartoon above is a real person, our very own Nina Stella — for Vitu New York.

Prior to Vitu acquiring the Dealertrack Registration & Titling Businesses (read more, here), Nina Stella stepped into the automotive industry in 2012 making her mark as a dynamic force in Operations Management, Training, and Implementation. Starting her journey in California, she brought a blend of industry expertise, creativity, and heart to everything she did. “I happily accepted an offer to transfer to my home state of New York for two reasons — to be near family and to add another state to my title & reg training portfolio!” she excitedly said.

Nina’s time in Los Angeles deeply influenced her creative spirit, as she immersed herself in the local arts scene. “I hosted ‘read through’ parties for screenwriters which were so much fun!” she said happily. These gatherings became a meaningful outlet for her passion for storytelling and community, traits that now enrich her work at Vitu. She brings that same collaborative energy to her professional life — mentoring peers, guiding clients, and building a culture of support and approachability.

Now based in New York, Nina continues to be an avid supporter of the arts and loves attending openings for up-and-coming artists. Whether it’s visual art or the creative problem-solving she applies daily at Vitu, Nina’s commitment to innovation and expression remains constant. Her colleagues know her not just for her deep operational knowledge but also for her warmth and ability to make complex systems feel understandable and manageable.

At the heart of Nina’s leadership is a clear and thoughtful philosophy — always live with integrity and do your best in every situation. “I believe that life is about finding purpose and contributing to something bigger than myself,” she said. At Vitu, she lives this out daily — empowering clients, supporting her team and approaching every challenge with heart. For Nina, it’s not just about getting the job done — it’s about doing it with purpose, empathy, and excellence.

Paperwork sent outside the original batch work

When sending paperwork to the State of New York (NYS) outside the original batch work, whether for a correction or not — either way, the MV-475 Private Sector Partnering Request / Correction Form is required.

An MV-475 Correction Form must accompany any and all paperwork sent into the Private Sector Partner (PSP) Unit that is not part of the original batch work, such as a Motor Vehicle form, proofs, a check, or even a letter. If the MV-475 is not submitted, the partner will be notified and their submitted paperwork held (not resolved) until the MV-475 is received.

This means that if correction paperwork is emailed to NYS Partnering Program without the MV-475 Correction Form, the paperwork will be rejected via email with a notice that the paperwork cannot be forwarded to staff unless there is an MV-475 attached.

Failure to include the MV-475 Correction Form can result in suspension of processing capabilities for a minimum of 24 hours. So, whether for a correction or not, always include a completed MV-475 whenever sending paperwork to Partnering outside the original batch date.

Unresolved problem paperwork

The Correction Form is required any time you’re sending an item to the Partnering unit, to satisfy an unresolved issue. Be sure to write across the top of the form in red ink, “Unresolved Problem Paperwork.” This ensures that the form and accompanying correction paperwork will be swiftly directed to the Partnering representative assigned to resolve the problem.

Quick delivery tips

To ensure the form and requested items are delivered as quickly as possible, place everything in an envelope and in big letters, write the name of the representative who is expecting to receive these items.

If you are sending the paperwork with your batch work, slip the envelope under the rubber band, on top of the yellow batch card.

The Cashier's Daily Report report shows which plates, documents, and stickers were issued that day. The report also details any inventory that was cancelled, voided, marked as missing or damaged in the system.

The Cashier’s Daily Report is mandatory and must be printed at the end of the processing workday.

  • The Cashier’s Daily Report must reflect all transactions processed on the terminal that day.
  • If a transaction is processed after the report was printed, re-print the report.

Always ensure the report is signed and dated.

  • If more than one processor logs in and processes transactions, each will receive their own report to date and sign.
  • To easily determine which report belongs to you, look for your initials in the upper left corner of the report.

The Cashier’s Daily Report is a helpful tool

The Cashier’s Daily Report is a powerful tool you can use to audit the day’s work. Here are some ways the report can help — ask yourself the following:

  • For registrations, FS6Ts, stickers and plates that were issued, is the supporting paperwork included?
  • For cancelled or voided transactions
    • Is the MV-73C completed?
    • Is the MV-73C and the voided document or voided In Transit Plate stapled to the back of the Cashier’s Daily Report, facing out?
  • For inventory items marked Missing in the system, has the MV-73C been completed and stapled to the back of the Cashier’s Daily Report, facing out?
  • For inventory marked Damaged in the system, has the damaged item and the completed MV-73C been stapled to the back of the Cashier’s Daily Report, facing out?
