Vehicle weights play an important role in successfully and accurately registering a vehicle. Vehicle types and body types can differ, so in order to list them correctly it is important to know their weights. 

Below is a breakdown of vehicle types with their weights and what plates can be issued for them.

If you receive an error regarding a Customer Stop, your first step is to alert the customer of the inability to continue. This error prevents a transaction from being completed until the customer’s record of flags or violations has been cleared. Direct your customer to contact their county office first to check if there are any flags for property tax. Then, your customer will need to contact the DMV to inquire about any stops or flags on their account. Due to security reasons, your dealership (nor Vitu) can acquire this information from the DMV. They will only release this information to the customer.

Once the customer has cleared any flags, violations or stops on their accounts, you will be able to proceed with the transaction. This is key to keeping your transactions moving along.
