New invoicing launches September 25

We’re excited to announce upcoming updates to the payment process with Vitu New York, launching on September 25, 2025.

How are invoices changing?

We're introducing Vitu invoices for the first time in New York. Invoices will follow the standard Vitu invoice format. While the look and feel will be new, all the essential billing information you rely on will still be included.

ACH requests from Vitu

Moving forward, ACH debit requests will come directly from Vitu.

Important:To avoid any interruption in processing, please contact your bank to whitelist our ACH (Automated Clearing House) Company ID.

  • To receive the Company ID, simply email us at CS-NewYork@vitu.com
  • We'll submit a prenote transaction before going live to confirm the setup is successful.
    • A helpful definition: A prenote transaction is a zero-dollar preliminary electronic payment sent to verify an individual's or vendor's bank account information before actual electronic payments (here, ACH payments) are sent. This process ensures the routing and account numbers are accurate, preventing errors and ensuring future payments are received by the correct account. The prenote period typically lasts a few banking days, after which the sender can proceed with sending live, money-moving transactions.

Frequently asked questions, answered

Q: What is the new ACH schedule?
A: Title & Registration transactions will be ACH’d nightly.

Q: Will I still be able to access the Journal Entry Report and Standard Transaction Export?
A: Yes, both reports will remain fully accessible.

Q: Who do I contact for support?
A: Reach out to us anytime at CS-NewYork@vitu.com or call 800-870-5139.

Q: Will these changes affect my access to Vitu Title & Reg?
A: Although these updates are billing related and won't impact functionality, failure to whitelist the new ACH Company ID will result in a suspension of processing privileges.

We’re here to make this transition a smooth one. Let us know how we can support you along the way.

We get it — paperwork can wander off sometimes. If you’re dealing with a lost or missing Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin (MSO) or Certificate of Origin (MCO), don’t worry — we’ve got a backup plan!

But first — just a heads-up! A notarized letter from the dealership is only acceptable in very specific cases. Here's when and how it works:

When the MSO/MCO Goes Missing...

If the original MSO or MCO is nowhere to be found and the manufacturer can’t provide a replacement, you’ll need:

  1. A Letter from the Dealer that…
    • Is on dealership letterhead (yep, fancy paper)
    • Clearly states that the MSO/MCO is lost or missing and has not been used as proof of ownership
    • Lists the year, make, and VIN of the vehicle
    • Is signed by a real, live, authorized dealer rep (original signature required!)
  2. PLUS, one of the following backup documents:
    • A photocopy (front and back) of the original MSO/MCO — certified and notarized by the dealer
    • A vehicle shipper’s notice, advance shipping notice, or factory invoice with the VIN (feel free to blur out the price)
    • An official letter from the manufacturer explaining why they can’t reissue the MSO/MCO — complete with VIN and an authorized signature

Good News!

Unlike the old days, most manufacturers can now reissue MSO/MCOs on demand. So be sure to check with them first, before diving into the workaround above.
